If your Product Upsell or Upsell Toggle module isn’t showing in your cart drawer or in the preview, don’t worry — this usually comes down to a few simple settings or product-related issues.
Here’s how to troubleshoot it step by step.
1. Check if the Module Is Enabled
First, make sure the module is active and your changes are saved.
Go to Kaching Cart > Cart Editor
Look for the Product Upsell and/or Upsell Toggle modules in the cart structure
Ensure the toggles are enabled
Click Save in the bottom-right corner or at the top of page after any changes
2. If the Issue Is With Upsell Toggle (Shipping Protection)
The Upsell Toggle module relies on a special product called “Shipping Protection” that our app creates for you.
If this product was deleted or modified directly in your Shopify admin, the module may not function.
Do not:
Delete the “Shipping Protection” product from your Shopify Products
Change its name, image, or status from the Shopify side
If you want to customize this product:
✅ Do it directly in the Kaching Cart app (via the Upsell Toggle settings)
3. If the Issue Is With Product Upsell Module
The Product Upsell module allows you to manually select upsell products. If nothing is showing, here’s what to check:
“Hide upsell if product in cart” is enabled
If the upsell product is already in the cart and this setting is active, it will be hidden by design
Product not available in your selected market
If you're using Shopify Markets, ensure the product is included in the market you’re testing from
Product has been deleted or archived
If the product no longer exists in your Shopify catalog, it won’t be displayed in the upsell module
Product is out of stock
Usually the upsell offer should still appear, but customers won’t be able to add it to cart (button will be hidden). It might not be related if upsell section is not showing at all, but it’s still worth it taking a look
