Expected collections next 30 days shows you the total revenue you can expect to collect from subscription orders scheduled within the next 30 days.

Unlike MRR (which is a normalized monthly run-rate), this metric focuses on cash flow timing - giving you a practical view of what’s actually coming into your account soon.

How we calculate expected collections next 30 days

We look at all upcoming subscription orders and sum the amounts that are scheduled to be charged within the next 30 days. Here’s how it works:

Includes:

  • Active subscriptions (regular upcoming orders)

  • Failed subscriptions (since they may retry and still bring revenue)

  • Line item prices and shipping prices

Excludes:

  • Skipped orders

  • Cancelled subscriptions

  • Orders scheduled after the 30-day window

Example

Imagine you have 4 subscriptions today:

A

Daily ($10/day)

Tomorrow

$10

$10 × 30 = $300

B

Weekly ($20/week)

In 7 days

$20

$20 × 4 = $80

C

Monthly ($60/mo)

In 15 days

$60

D

Yearly ($120/yr)

In 200 days

$120

Total Expected Collections (next 30 days) = $440
