How does annual billing work?

You pay for 12 months upfront and get 3 months free compared to paying monthly. You'll see the price displayed as "per month" so it's easy to compare to monthly plans, but the actual charge is the full annual amount, billed once at the start of your subscription.

How much do I save with an annual plan?

You get 3 months free: pay for 9, use 12. Same tier, same features, just billed once a year instead of every month.

How does annual pricing compare to monthly?

Annual plans get you 3 months free vs paying monthly, the per-month effective price is ~25% lower across every tier. Same features, same limits, just billed once upfront instead of every month.

Is there a free trial for annual plans?

Yes — annual plans come with a 7-day free trial. After the trial period ends, your subscription billing cycle starts automatically.

Plan changes

Can I switch between monthly and annual after I start?

Not from inside the app yet. You'd need to cancel your current plan and resubscribe on the one you want. We're working on making this a one-click thing.

Can I change tiers after I subscribe?

Yes, you can move up or down between tiers anytime.

Upgrading: Your new tier kicks in right away. You'll only be charged the difference for the days left in your current cycle, not the full annual price.
Downgrading: Your new tier also kicks in right away, and the unused difference comes back to you as Shopify App credits.

Usage & limits

What happens if I exceed my plan's monthly limit?

If your added value goes over your tier's monthly limit, you'll be charged a one-time overage fee for that month only, covering just the extra value generated. No automatic tier change, and your limit resets next month.

If you'd like a permanent move to a higher tier, you can upgrade anytime from plan management. You'll only pay the pro-rated difference for the remaining days in your cycle, and the new tier kicks in immediately.

What is the one-time overage fee for annual plans?

If your added value exceeds your plan's monthly limit, you'll be charged a one-time fee for the extra value generated that month. Your tier stays the same and your limit resets next month.

Discounts

Do discounts apply to annual plans?

Yes, most discounts, including multi-app discounts, apply to annual plans. However, discounts above a certain threshold are not compatible with annual billing.

Cancellation & refunds

Can I cancel my annual plan?

You can cancel anytime. Just message support and we will issue a refund via Shopify App credits for the unused portion of the year.

⚠️ Important: Overage charges aren't refundable, just the base subscription.

Do I get a refund if I cancel mid-cycle?

Yes. If you cancel your annual plan before the 12 months are up, you can request a refund for the unused portion, issued as Shopify App credits.

Here's how we calculate it:

Refund = Annual amount paid − (Days used × Monthly plan price ÷ 30)

Example: Let's say you're on the Scale plan and decide to cancel after 60 days.

- Annual amount paid: $263.88
- Days used: 60
- Monthly plan price (Scale): $29.99
- Daily monthly rate: $29.99 ÷ 30 = ~$1.00
- Used portion: 60 × $1.00 = ~$60

Refund = $263.88 − $60 = ~$203.88 back to you as Shopify App credits.

In short: the refund is calculated at the monthly rate for the time you used — so if you cancel early, the annual discount effectively doesn't apply to that period.
