Ever wished your volume discounts would just work, even when customers add products from different pages instead of using the bundle widget? Great news: with Collection Breaks, they can!
What does this do?
Normally, your bundle discounts only kick in when customers add items through the bundle widget on a single product page. But let's be real, customers love to browse! They might add one product here, another one there, and expect the discount to apply.
With the "Same products as deal visibility" option turned on, that's exactly what happens. Your volume discount tiers apply automatically to qualifying products in the cart — no matter how they got there.
Here's an example:
Your customer visits Product A and adds 1 to their cart
They browse to Product B and add that too
Both products are part of your bundle deal
The discount applies automatically, just like magic!
Smart cart behavior
When a customer adds the same product variant as a separate item, the app intelligently merges them into a single cart line with the combined quantity, instead of creating duplicate lines. This keeps the cart clean and the "Buy Now" button functional.
How to set it up
Open the Kaching Bundles app in your Shopify admin
Edit an existing deal or create a new one
Go to the deal settings
Find the Collection Breaks section
Set the visibility option to "Same products as deal visibility"
Save and publish your deal
That's it! The deal's volume discount tiers will now apply to all products matching the deal's visibility settings, whether they're added through the widget, from individual product pages, or from collection pages.
When to use this
Mix & Match deals. You want customers to pick products from different pages and still get the bundle discount
POS stores . You need bundle discounts to work at your physical retail location
Stores with many products. Instead of requiring customers to use the widget, let them shop naturally and get rewarded with volume pricing
Good to know
This option inherits the parent deal's product/collection visibility settings — no need to configure a separate product list for collection breaks
Up to 250 products can be displayed in collection breaks
Products already consumed by collection breaks discounts won't receive additional volume discount processing (no double-discounting)
